A poem about feeling lost and alone. About a girl desperately searching for answers.

Am I aesthetically
Pleasing
Or just pathetically
Appeasing?

You don't notice me
Out here on the sidelines
Nobody seems to see
Me behind tattered blinds

This feeling
Of knowing I'm so close
This feeling
Is the one I despise the most

It's almost like when you're dreaming
You reach out to touch
Sometimes, even screaming
But there is no sound and there is no touch
And the choice is left but to loosen the clutch.

Yes, you have a clutch on my heart
You have a place in my mind
You are the missing part
I have yet to find

To you, however, I am
Invisible
Obscure
Unseen
To you, I am

Nothing.

And to me
You are

Everything.

Tears slide down these
Bright blue eyes
As I like awake in the breeze

I wonder WHY.
