A Poetic Story Of Mary,Joseph And The Nativity

The Birth of CHRIST

Gabriel, Gods angel, came to Mary, one heavenly night,
In a dream of her slumber, an as a bright light
He spoke softly, and whispered in her ear
Do not be frightened, or of me have no fear,
For god has sent me to tell you, words you must hear

He finds favor of you, and his heart you have won
He sent me to tell you, that you shall birth him a son
His name will be Jesus,a savior he will be
Thru him the saved will live for eternity

Mary astounded, an in utmost perplection
Spoke to Gabriel with this question
"Oh dear angel, how can this be?" “for I have not any man known___
Nor has any man known me.”

A virgin you are, and as a virgin ye shall conceive,
God will perform this miracle, that in him all shall believe
Ye shall be blessed among all women, and then, you will be praised as Mary, Mother of Jesus, and the son of god
A___ men

I go now to tell your betrothed, Joseph, of this great miracle
Joseph, a man loving god, questioned not this oracle
But trusting in the lord, an not caring what be said
Took Mary as his wife, for the rest of his life

An edict from Caesar came across the land
That all should be counted, every child, woman and man
Back to your birthplace you must go
So when counted, from whence you came, we shall know

So laden with child, on a burro Mary rode, with Joseph in lead
Down narrow lanes, to his birth town they strode
The days were hot, and she with much pain
On the desert sand they slept, even in the rain

Then down a hill and around a bend, there they were, in Bethlehem
Searching the town for a room and bed, nary a place could be found, for to rest her head, yet late in eve, Joseph was able, to find a
Man that lent them his stable

There that night a star arose, and gave great light to Bethlehem below___ kings and shipyards from afar, remembered the prophecy of the star, the ancients prophecies of long ago,
___a king will be born under this glow

So blessed Mary, early that morn, gave birth to Jesus
Our savior, the king was born
Now to this very day, we Christians pray,
Dear lord, _____God Bless this Christmas day
