How one's vanity is overshadowed by the loss of their soul.
If timing is of the essence,
then time has been lost.
And so have you been.
But at what price?
The years have been courteous to you.
Flirting with father time,
courting the fates,
romancing mother nature,
finding true love with yourself.
Limiting your imperfections,
you gave up uniqueness.
In doing so you gave up serenity.
Now the loneliness sets in.
You are the desert rose.
Waiting to die amid the sand storm.
No longer part of the cultivation of God's garden.
Each petal eroding in the rust.
The beauty that time has lost.
