I wish we could try to getting along as much as we do trying to destroy each other.
Prelude to Peace

With threatening skies above our heads
And crystals under foot
With raging winds and blinding sands
and the taste of ash and soot

With horrors dealt by evil men
And mercy far from reach
With anger, spite and jealousy
And legacies left by each

With haves and have nots side by side
And millions changing hands
With the poor who live on hunger
And enrich the wealthy man

With those who hate the other kind
And preach ideals of good
With hidden faces defend their cause
And smite all those who should

With strangers fighting willingly
And not without despair
With battles almost everyday
And the loss we all must bear

We must contend with all these things
And decide what's right and wrong
With a single key I'd erase this piece
If we'd all just get along
