Missing the one I love
How can I tell you just how much I miss you?
That every waking thought is about you,
That you even haunt my dreams at night.

I wake up sometimes, looking for you
But find that your side of the bed is bare
And my heart breaks just a little at the sight.

This distance is sometimes almost too much
And I ask myself if it's worth the emptiness,
Worth the nearly constant ache to be with you.

For the first time I'm scared of losing someone.
I guess it means that I need you, and I am not
Used to needing anyone or anything.

But then I think about what it felt like to finally
Be in your arms, to feel your kisses on my lips,
To feel your touches against my naked skin.

It's then that I know I would wait forever for you...
That you are worth any heartache, any moment of
Longing and sadness, a lifetime of tears even.

You are everything to me.  I don't know how I
Lived my life without having you in it, without your
Love, I just know that a life without you is no life.

You have brought me back to life, or maybe I should say That for the first time I am alive because of your love.
I love you, with all that I am and all I will be.
