Bitten, clawed, tares stretching
Roads we see but few roads for me

Stories not that old

Money, food, pity stretching
Futures we plan but few plans for me

Fire, water, souls stretching
Stories built on fear

Fences, walls, people stretching
Drugs we consume but not enough drugs for me
And stretching straight the white lines
Leather, silk, skin stretching
Stories no one wants to hear

Knives, treason, brothers stretching
Booze we drink but not enough drink for me
And stretching straight the nights
Wire, webs, veins stretching
Stories with names not given

Affection, time, smiles stretching
Love we give to each other, love shown for me
And stretching straight the wrongs
Oil, wine, passions stretching
Stories based on fairy tales

Children, schools, lives stretching
Life we gave to each other, a life for me
And stretching straight our world
Diamonds, coal, flesh stretching
Stories not yet told.
