I'm drowning in the sweet shards of my mirror's lifeless ocean.
A Reflection's Pain

Kneeling before my reflection, loathing in blind devotion,
I sing in silence and shudder in appalling revulsion.
I never knew the secrets within me, feeding on my soul.
As darkness slowly becomes my light, hate is my brimstone coal.
I tear and scratch trying to be clean - tasting my sins taint me.
My reflection laughs as my despair makes me a monster~Free!
I can't break away from my inner eclipse, someone hear my plea.
I'm drowning in the sweet shards of my mirror's lifeless ocean.
Trapped inside my darkness, I seek the songs that will make me whole.
Will heaven bless me, tortured by the horrors no one can see?
