This is about my family and our trouble communicating
You’re always there.
You never go away.
You never let us talk,
Or say the things we need to say.

Why do you always sit
In the corner of every room?
Why are you always spreading
That permeating gloom?

It’s been years since you first joined us,
Oh, how happy we once were.
Why won’t you ever leave us?
You never even stir.

Why do you keep us from talking?
Why do you make it all so hard?
Why can’t we keep smiling?
Why are we broken into shards?

Is it you that is the problem,
The one that’s causing pain?
Is it you that makes us angry,
Or are each of us insane?
