so right...
Under the smiling faced moon,
Night fell over the bayou.
Rain clouds dissipated,
Evening humidity abated
And we sat on lawn chairs,
Softly talking of our all too soon.
Our loneliness was replaced with me and you.
Nothing previous compares
At all with an evening
Beside the one you love.
Like a soft whisper on the breeze,
Even the interstate sounded sweet,
Lively and calling our name,
"I long for you to fly north,
Visiting, cooing and calling, like doves,
Easy, sweet, and flitting, sweet honey bees."
Somehow we made bliss from unreasonable lives.
