A women reflects a past relationship and discovers how it has changed her
When I think of how you hurt me
Tears fall
When I think of how you held me
Tears fall
When I think of how you made me
I smile
When I think of what you gave me
I smile

Now I sit here and remember
all the things you did to me
All the good and all the bad
The things that I can say
I loved
And the things that I can say
I hated

I realize now that you and I
were meant to happen
The mistakes and the lessons
that we learned
were meant to be

You have been a part
of creating who I am here and now
the good and the bad
Seemingly blending together
to form my figure in gray

Now
When I think of how you hurt me
I sigh
When I think of how you held me
I smile
When I think of how you made me
I laugh
When I think of what you gave me
I cry

Because that's just who I am
