Despair; dark as the night, rot deep within me.
Dark as the night.

Despair, dark as the night,
rots deep within me.
I peer blinded in hopeful misery.
into the void of hope before me.

I am slowly dying,
glad to be free.
My decay entertains them.
My heartbeat echoes silently,
as dark as the night.

I feel maggots kiss me tenderly.
Their cool lust touches my flesh.
Shadows cover me painfully,
loving me as death teases me.

I feel my skin drip, putrid and free.
It kisses my toes as I walk forward,
away from the nothingness that was life.
Amidst the fog as dark as the night.

My soul flutters in trapped isolation.
The voices spit and stutter
as they fight to control me.
I tear with broken fingers
deep into me, forever empty.

Goddamn agony, my despair.
I am dead, suffering in life.
Walking to escape.
Seeing demons as dark as the night.
Slowly losing as I decay,
smiling in demented light.
