Sometimes you have to listen to find where the heart of another is going.
I know nothing except the sound your heart makes
When I hold my head close- it's so hard to pull away
Mine, it beats too, but with blood almost still
Because of my hurt, it always will

It was of your doing that made it beat slow
So silent in my ears that you would never know
Though now you feel it with your touch
Is this the one I loved so much?

Could it be that you never felt before?
This warmth of love that makes the heart sore?
Now I see what you've kept inside
Your true identity is where your heart lies.

It lies in your soul, so strong it keeps
While my is fading, so soft it weeps
Closer now, my head to your heart
Listens before it is time to part

Take with you, the love you so need
I need it no more, for now I must leave.
What about yours, you ask, where does it soar?
It belongs to you, i say, keep it with yours

Someday, lean your heart to the earth
It will renew with my love of rebirth
Once you asked where my heart had lied.
It stays with you, and since, never died.
