sometimes you just don't
I used to be in love with you
maybe fifteen minutes ago
and then it left me
like a shiver

I have spent the last day and a half trying to get it back

You were gone already
and memories are hard to hold on to
like holding your breath
when they are all you have to hold

I exhaled

I used to be in love you
maybe thirty minutes ago now
