I know it might not be the best but I liked it anyways!
In the dark of the night when people wander in the forest of dreams,
I lie awake with only the shadows to hear my silent screams.
But when I realize that I am all alone,
the shadows start to feel like home.
In the corner where I lie in bed,
is where the shadows will be led.
They come for me without a sound,
not even making the barest rustle on the ground.
The Darkness soars over me with great black wings,
enveloping me it sings.
'Trust in us' it says to me.
'Here in the Darkness you are free'.
I welcome the black with open arms,
for I have no fear of it's harm.
The Darkness is now my friend,
and that is where this story ends.
