This is a poem I wrote while I was in the ARMY, also used as cadence.
Life of a Soldier
A soldier's life is simple,
his thoughts are not his own.
Where he lays his head,
he does not call his home.
All the pain he carries,
he bares it all alone.
A soldier's life is simple,
a long and lonely road.
