The loss of a high school friendship
We can only say sorry once or twice
because we kept forgetting to be nice

The secrets we had
that were hidden behind our backs
common courtesy we do lack

Everytime we do something wrong
our friendship we miss and long

Indulging conversations on the phone
Every now and then we'd share a poem

I hope we never hate each other
because we had always been there for another

Sometimes we needed to be alone
but we never expressed it with an angry tone

I never would have guessed
our friendship would have been torn apart
cause everytime we had a problem
we would have a long heart to heart

Maybe someday we'll realize what we've done

We have taken away those happy memories that were fun
I'm sorry
Maybe we'll be friends again someday
