The Emptiness Inside...... Will you let it devour you?
the emptiness inside...

it consumes you  hungrily

greedily...

begging for more

you cry achingly

pitifully...

pleading for mercy

it radiates from within

spreading its darkness

its sorrow...

its sickness, its power

it feeds on you nightly

showing no shame for the soul it has claimed

it wakes you from your hellish dreams

yes... yes, those are your screams that you hear

the faint whispers on the wind

the emptiness inside, it will devour you

the emptiness inside, it will not rule you

the emptiness inside, something we all possess

but the emptiness inside, will never ever get the best
