On losing the magic wonder of childhood
As children we know
how to live in the moment,
taking deep breaths
of wonder and surprise.
As adults we breathe less
and sigh more.
Does that mean we live less?
Does living get harder
as the years roll by
or do we make it harder on ourselves
by allowing the magic to die?
