A sad poem, needed to express some anger so wrote this.
The sun has set and I know it won’t rise.
The corners, the alleys, the shadows of lies.
The cold wind is rough upon my scarred skin,
And inside I know that you won’t let me in.

I wait on the pavements blood boiling inside,
And the chills tell me it’s so clear you have lied,
Empty of hope and yet so filled with spite,
I wait and I wait to again see the light.

But the sun has set and I know it won’t rise.
On the corners, the alleys, the shadows of lies.
I’m punished and punished for my greatest sin,
Inside I know that you won’t let me in.

The voices of demons sing in my head,
And I now know why you must have fled.
I wait on the pavements blood boiling inside,
For now I know that it’s me who has lied.
