A poem to a lost love
The days are gray, the nights are blue.
I'm so alone since I lost you.
The days are sad, the nights are long,
And the whippoorwill sings a lonely song.

The flowers didn't bloom this year in Spring,
And the robin forgot to sing.
The stars don't seem to shine anymore,
The moon has lost the glow it had before.

Without you, I just don't know what to do.
My life has lost its meaning without you.
I know if you come back to stay,
My nights would then turn back to day.

The whippoorwill would sing a brand new song,
The flowers would bloom the whole year long,
And the stars would shine again all night,
The moon would glow with a soft, sweet light.

Oh, please come back to me, and then,
I can begin to live again.
The flowers will bloom again this spring,
And the robin will never forget to sing.
