Wrote this after the 3D ultrasound we had before our baby was born.
Oh, Little girl with your momma's nose
I can't wait for you to get here, to hold you close
You don't know me yet, but I'm your dad
I'll be wrapped around your finger, even when you're bad
Tuck you in at night; we'll say your prayers
Kiss you on the forehead, run my fingers through your hair

Sweet dreams, little baby girl
You know to me that you mean the world
I'll give you anything a daughter wants
But my love for you, I give the most

Time moves so fast, I guess you never know
I still remember when, I used to hold you close
Then you met him, and his mom 'n dad
Before he popped the question, he came to me and asked
Next thing I know, we're walking down the aisle
You turn to me; I wipe away a tear and smile

Sweet dreams little baby girl
You know to me you'll always mean the world
I stand here today, to give you away
He lifts up your veil; I see your smiling face

Your mom and I remember, those little footsteps on the floor
This time it's not you though, she's already turning four
She climbs on my lap, says “Grandpa lets go play"
When I look into to her face, it takes me back to those days
When I tucked you in at night, we said your prayers
Kissed you on the forehead, ran my fingers through your hair

Sweet dreams, from when you were a little girl
But your all grown up now, she's your whole world
You'll give her anything that she asks for
But what you've given me, I'd never ask for more

Than that Little girl.
