losing love and getting it back.

It’s 5 o’clock on Friday and I’m headed out
Don’t know where I’m going but I’m leaving town
‘Cause it hurts too much to see out memories
I know it’s been a long time, yet I still think
What if things were different?
Would there be a you and me; God only knows

If yesterday were tomorrow
And I knew which path to follow
Would it lead me back to you?
If left is right and right is wrong
Then just where do I belong
If I’m not next to you- I wish it were tomorrow

Been up all night on this road, suns coming up
What would it be like if we hadn’t given up?
Would you tell me you love me, or maybe not
White line passing by just like the time
Goes by like a blur before my eyes
I don’t see me and you, I wanna know why

If yesterday were tomorrow
And I knew which path to follow
Would it lead me back to you?
If left is right and right is wrong
Then just where I belong
If I’m not next to you- I wish it were tomorrow

Tomorrow’s finally here and I took a right
Going around in circles nearly all my life
Trying to get back on track, find that path
Finally see you there, know right where I belong
Wrapped up in your arms- I’m so glad it’s tomorrow

If yesterday were tomorrow
And were on the path we followed
That’s leading back to love
Cause yesterday was tomorrow
