Night and Day

You and me
Different as night and day
Salt and pepper
Black and white.

We come together
Laugh,
Smile,
Joke and play
Different as night and day.

You and me
On different roads
Traveling our own path
Goals, plans and life
Different as night and day.

We come together
Talk,
Dream,
Know each other intimately
Different in every way.

When we come together
Our hearts play
When our minds say “no way”
I cannot wait to be with you
Night and day.
