Drinking And Driving Can Be Deadly
" You Paid The Price "

Smoking hot tires, then shattering of glass

compressed pieces of metal, shrouds of fiberglass

a dark place of sadness, my vision goes black

its much too late now, there is no going back

Sirens ringing loudly, on this friday night

this deathly sound is every parents fright

young bodies now torn, a strong smell of blood

all gazing eyes now teared, and begin to flood

Finding bodies slowly, just one by one

a small group of teens, just having some fun

Killing all of my friends, what did I do?

Just a few hundred yards, they find another shoe

A man in a white frock, looked into my eye

he was the one that saw me, fade away and die

I really thought that I could, drink and drive

if only I would have listened, I'd be alive

My dad is in shock, moms crying tears

they fainted together, facing this fear

my mother leans over, to kiss me good-bye

my father is screaming out, why oh why

They lower my casket, down into my grave

its so cold and dark, I yell to be saved

suddenly I see an angel, and begin to cry

I ask her what happened? She said I died

I told her I can't be dead, I'm still so young

I need to sing, dance, and distance run

she looked at me crying, with her saddened voice

she said I was driving, but I had a choice

Why did this have to happen? I did not want to die

she embraced me tightly, with her words she sighed

You Paid The Price, to drink and drive

if you made a better choice, you'd be alive!!!!!
