55 word story about a teen girl taking a home pregnancy test.
In the mirror, a tear driven by panic from my inner child chased away my youthful glow. As a wave of nausea hit me, I thought This cannot be happening.

“I’m in here, Mom!” I cried, startled by the knock at the door.

Trembling, I checked it once more but, clearly, the result was positive.
