A poem I wrote about the ending of a relationship of some sort. The anger and remorse.
An ending to all endings is now needed.
Recollection of past bliss brings anguish.
A prickle in the wall of my defenses,
and a ripple in the puddle of my tears.
Distress and heartache now add to the thorn of agony,
Of which I will always carry.
Without you I'm alone.
Devoting my emotions to you,
filled me with contentment.
You held the flower of my heart in your hands.
and I thought I held yours.
Now, denial filled with resentment,
Is that all you have for me?
And tears fill my eyes
As I've lost you, now I see.
To end the tribulation of my soul,
And to let you go,
Will hurt me as much as when I say,
I hate you so.
