It's about someone I care alot about, but can't seem to get.
I am so conflicted.
Everything is contradicted.
All the pain Your heart's inflicted.
Please God, say it will be lifted.

But, then here we are again
Your words begin to tear the skin.
So, I hide the feelings deep within
and only share them with the Pen.

Every "I Love You" breaks my heart.
You're slowly tearing my world apart.
I should have stopped You at the start.
Too late, You've shot me off the charts.

So, now I know what I've alway feared.
You follow me like I do the tears.
I can't escape Heartache's leer.
It hurts, but I still want you here.

The water falls from eyes to keys
then slowly trickles toward the sea.
Oh, I just want to be set free.
You will regret loving me.

I give in to you far too fast.
But, I know that this will never last.
Pain still has a shadow to cast.
Looming, haunting me from my past.

You see my face--and deeper in.
You hold my hand, and lift my chin.
But, You won't know you are "him"
because I only told the Pen.
