The first poem I have ever written
The rain burns my skin
Yet fire doesn't seem to bother
Everything is the opposite
This world is strange, so hard,
So hard to get used to

The sun seems radiant from inside
But when looked upon, just a dull star
Night feels like a hot summer day
When day is as cold as mid winters
I have to get out of this place,
This place that promised hope, but gave pain

I think of the people I've left behind
The love I have given and received
None of that matters now in this Horrible place
Ring! Ring! The bells rang as I awoke,
Awoke from my deep slumber in study hall
Never to return to that world, that horrible world.
