The big bang has come to the sleepy place this used to be...
The big bang has come
to the sleepy place
this used to be.

T’was only a matter of Time
(and Time, you know,
came with the rest!)

Points of light condense
and spread
farther, yet farther, afield.

Particles whiz and atoms smash—
in a species of alchemy
from which weird structures
are wrought.

From the hilltops
faint quasars are visible
(wee farms and quiet roads).

They are carried
on old waves of light.
They are visions of what once was.
