Dedicated to my love at the other side of the world
In early February, the world gathered in Australia,
Nationalities from far and wide.

No one knew what would face them this year,
And as some realized they shed a tear.
For some it was easy and for some it was hard,
It was somewhat like picking the right card.

I myself picked the ace out of the deck,
But I think my eyes were in my neck,
For I did not see the card that I had received,
Not until it was ready for my leave it was revealed.

For a girl that I loved had loved me back,
But doubt of mutual feelings had made us lack,
The confidence to ask if love was true,
But back then none of us had a clue.

I was flown ten thousands of kilometers away,
And I could sense my feelings going astray,
But I realized then that this was the very first time,
That I was truly in love, this was not a mime.
