Because.. we spend our whole lives trying to beat it, yet it beats us all
Time.

One word.
Four letters, one syllable
Seconds, minutes, hours,
Days, months, years,
Decades and centuries

Tick. Tock.

As they vanish
So do we.
Three weeks to live,
And one until waiting drives you mad
A whole lifetime,
Spent trying to beat the clock,
Only to find it beats us all

Tick. Tock.

Seconds to live.
Help never comes.
Guess time just wasn’t on your side
It never really is, is it?

Tick. Tock.

And we all fall down.
