love and obligations and sometimes both being at odds
A forgotten melody brings back old memories of yesterdays gone by
When my own thoughts , wants, and dreams were all I had to satisfy.
A time when hearts beat free and possibilities ran wild..
And I perceived life through naive eyes, much like that of a child.

All things were possible and dreams could and would become a reality
And I was assuredly capable of immortality..
Time had no meaning, no bearing, and held only soon to be realized hopes  and dreams
And to go anywhere, do anything, one wanted was life's only theme.

Suddenly, it seemed the winds of time brought change to my life..
and wild and carefree were put away by children and a wife..
It was a time for hard work and stability accompanied by patience and endurance it seemed..
No longer having time nor energy for the laughing at life and the dreaming of dreams..
Years passed and consisitancy and repitition came to be ..
going thru the motions expecting nothing new as this was reality..
Life became ridden with trials and tribulation
Year after year after year of forgotten dreams, pretended love, and false adoration..
Life was a meaningless motion with its only color being gray..
and I spent year after year trying to get thru another day..
But the winds changed again and there was a new day and hope was found once more
Once again, as in my youth,my heart began to soar..
New breath filled my chest I felt suddenly re-born and new
For it was that day I found true love alive and living in you..
Since that day my heart has new purpose my mind new resolve

You fill my eyes , my heart, my mind my every dream, my purpose in life..
And it is you I truly love and wish to make my wife..
Whatever my life holds, even if all remains the same...
Ive been blessed by the knowing of your heart and the privilege of speaking your name.
