It's a poem I've written about my friend who was in an accident.
The days we used to know have past;
We've become different people through the years.
I look back on the years and remember they were a blast,
but recent events have only brought me tears.

You aren't as invincible as we once thought,
Broken bones and shattered glass is all you have to show.
A sadness has replaced the happiness the days once brought.
You lay in a hospital bed at an all time low.

Why my friend must you push the limits?
They're there for a reason you know.
Things can change in only minutes,
You didn't have to put on a show.

I'm angry with you because of this,
And I have to visit you in your current state.
But I have to pretend to be brave and we'll reminisce.
I just don't believe that almost dieing was your fate.

My emotions have run away from me,
I'm worried about you and it only makes me cry.
But I have to be strong and put up a front for you to see.
I will be fine if your promise you won't die.
