A short poem about bipolar disorder.
Half of this world, frozen and dead,
Speaks only in riddled echoes.
The other part, so warm and crimson,
Is filled with a love no one knows.
Part of this being feels so abandoned,
Part of this person seeks a companion,
Part of this soul knows no bound,
But none this creature is totally sound.
So we feel as the Gemini trapped in limbo,
Searching for some small sanity.
And we are lost in the maelstrom of thoughts,
As sailors on the torrents of the sea.
We seek only a serene harbor somewhere,
To rest and discover all that we are.
But in the consciousness we all share,
We know such a place to be very, very far.
