A short poem.
Staring at the backs of my eyelids,
You might say that I can’t see anything,
But I can see everything you can’t.

Inside a place that defies definition,
There are people and places I’ve never known,
Not, at least, how they are here.

Silence the soundtrack to a dream,
There are no voices or even whispers,
No need for captions, only feelings.

This universe exists within a moment,
With no reality of which I can be sure,
Just the way my heart races here.

Happiness, sadness, hatred, love,
This place will give them light in me,
And be here when they grow dark.
