A short poem.
Beneath the frames its hard to see the truth,
And sometimes I get so lost just looking.
Staring too deep, searching too much,
Sometimes I fall to far into a glare,
Thinking it was starlight, but I am false.
Inside there somewhere I know is the heart,
But if it beats for me, I cannot see.
Ignore the tongue, it can only sing songs,
And they sound like sweet lies.
Refuse the hands, they can only pluck strings,
And I will not be their lyre.
No, it must be beneath the frames,
And though it is hard to see,
I will find it.
