Let Me Be


The Pressure to do the right thing
The pressure that friends bring
The pressure that my family brings

I scream
I can’t see
Blinded by the me that I should be
The superficiality drowns me
I can’t speak, I can’t breathe

I want to be me
Not the me you want me to be
But the me were I’m free
To do what I want
To be who I should be
Just wait and see
