Such a vicious disease, but there can be a silver lining, just not for who you think.
A stolen glimpse, a small smile
Makes the working day worthwhile
Innocent chat, a small giggle
Makes my little heart wriggle

Sweeping hair, those baby blues
Makes me shudder to my shoes
His eyes melt, those teeth gleam
My mind is bursting at the seems

The moment fizzles, and then its gone
I make the bags and pass them on
Another look, I’m weak at the knee’s
Ironically united by a vicious disease

He checks the script and signs away
The last cure of a tiresome day
When no one looks he steals a kiss
A lustful peck, a cheeky glint

One last touch, then he’s gone
Guilt surfaces for the one at home
I look around and then I see
My secret is safe, between the chemo and me
