A poem inspired by a friend's saying.
Many speak of time
as if it costs a dime,
and patience is a crime
as they follow a fast internal rhyme
where not a moment is sublime.

Many forget the virtue -
to them it isn't true.
Someday they may rue
speeding through the avenue
where patience said adieu.

When time of the essence is issued,
time is overvalued
then patience is subdued.
Let time be not pursued.
Let patience be renewed.

Inspiration:
"Patience is a virtue, except for when time is of the essence, then it is an unvalued necessity."
