also prompt from writer'sdigest.com. Poem A Day. imagine urself in someone else's skin.
Tipping over, running fast, getting into things
Causing mischief, having fun. Whatever each day brings.
I love to squeal and play and jump and bounce around the house.
Only when I go to sleep am I quiet as a mouse
When I sleep, my mumma says, I look so cute and sweet.
When I was in my mommy's tummy, I had three inch feet!
My name is Kayden, so I'm told. I love to sing and dance.
My mommy has the hardest time fitting me in pants.
She says that I'm all arms and legs. I have no butt. I'm tall.
And every time the pant legs fit, the waist slides down and falls.
My favorite toys are trains and cars- my game is peek-a-boo
Mom calls my brother "Monkey see" and I am "Monkey do"
We get in trouble when together. We make our parents crabby.
I love to go and play outside and reading makes me happy
I've learned to say a bunch of things and Mommy's super proud.
I can go potty by myself and I can scream REAL loud.
I have an impish little grin and eyes of blue, gold, green.
Mom compares them to the ocean filled with gold sunbeams.
Overall my life is good. I'm growing up so fast!
My mommy says she can't believe that two whole years have passed.
When I've grown up and moved away and have kids of my own,
I'll tell them all about the joy and laughter I have known.
