prompt from poetry a day on writers digest. com about firsts
She was a vibrant, glossy white
My darling Nimue
And oh the freedom that I felt,
Driving every day.

She was nimble. She was quick.
She was my pride and joy.
She was my first car ever owned
My most expensive toy

Windows down and CDs on
We would cruise around
I was elated she was mine
The coolest car in town

But, alas, she's mine no more
He kept her when he left.
She cruised by once with his new wife
The sight left me bereft.

Though she and I have separate roads
And she has gone away
We had a blast while she was mine
My darling Nimue
