a new beginning at least for today
A New Beginning

Rain pounds against the flesh
a sensation of a thousand drops
washing away the grime
guilt
self-loathing
all past transgressions
wiped clean by those drops
to rid me of the disease
hate
lust
all the conniving actions
gone for the arrival of a new self
clean
pure
a new beginning.
