What is man's greatest fear? Is it tangible or a concept?
Fear

Beside the rustling tornadoes of sand
on a tall windswept grassy dune,
There stood a plain grim old man
humming himself a merry tune

From under a barnacled boulder
In the murky shallow waters
Climbed out a crusty monster
itching for a brutal slaughter

Snapping and pinching
The creature shuffled slowly toward the dune

Standing as stiff as a tower
The man continued to hum his pleasant tune

Curious about the old man's tranquility
The crab stopped ten feet away
"Quite impressive stability,
Facing certain death yet you stay!"

The old man chortled as his face lit red
"I owe hefty debts to all kinds
If you were to strike me dead
It'd taste sweeter than red wines"

Crushing and squeezing
The furious crustacean snapped him in half

In a world as stressful as earth
To finally be free makes any man laugh.
