Hurt feelings; nothing new.
The way I saw her--
She was locked into your arms.
The way I saw you--
Hug-holding her like you once hug-held me.
You said none of them meant anything;
(When we were together)
And it hurts and I don't understand.

I just wanted to be her,
For a second, for a simple short time.
I just wanted to take all my honesty back,
For a second, for a simple short time.

Because maybe, if I had kept my feelings to myself,
I wouldn't be sitting here thinking about you because you left.

They say communication and trust are key,
But if that is so, then why is there a you without a me?
And if communication fixes things in relationships,
Why do I cry alone at night with tears falling upon my lips?

I walked across the place as always and the way I saw her,
Unfortunately my pitious eyes blurred and the way I saw you.

You said none of them meant anything, but I beg to differ.
For more than a second, for more than a simple short time,
I beg to differ with all that I have
Because communication and trust,
Have left my heart and soul stabbed.

And oh God, I wanted to be her,
For a second, for a simple short time.
