Nature can be a bitch
One spring day I saw a sparrow building a nest on the shield over the outdoor light. I decided that as long as it didn't bother me I'd let it be.

One day there was a violent storm. When it was over I saw that the nest was gone.

The best laid plans of mice, men, and birds often fail.
