The story of a phoenix.
I open myself so my soul will show
A trust and belief we always knew
Of the manner in which all things grew
And yet I'm stained by the mud they throw

Not to understand is my fault too
Borne of spiraling hate and fear that brew
In me they fester from head to toe
In order to follow and go with the flow

And so I burn to begin anew
No matter how much the fair winds blow
For some say you will never know
So the phoenix inside is known by few

But I will never have a foe
Because I treat you as my crew
So I learn, row by row
To understand the difference between dust and dew
