Entry for the 55 word story contest May 17th 2008. A story of family loss.

Jane left last Thursday. 

One week passes, and the thing her mother long feared is manifested.  How she is certain, she does not know.  Every nerve screams that her child is not coming back.  Will says she will not take her own life; but their fears grow.

Jane, their own daughter; lost in harm's way.
