This poem is meant to show the benefits and the peacefulness of solitude.
There is a method to peacefulness.
To escape the noise and haste.
To avoid the stress of a crowded world.

Find a breaking point
In your tasks.
Draw small chores
To a close,
And do not start new things.

         Lie down.
         Ignore your body.
It does not need to move.
         Silence your hands.
         Leave them behind.

Let stillness come.
You have no limbs.
You cannot move.
It doesn't matter.
There is no need.

Close your eyes.
Let the world desert you.
Let sound wash over you,
But not into you.
It does not matter.

Conversations may go on,
But they can be ignored.
Words lose their meaning,
                   Without interpretation.
Let them be as noise to you.

Slow your thoughts.
Do not think of the past
                             Or the future.
You exist now.
You exist now.

Come back, ready to face the world.

It helps.

I know.
