When I was a girl
Young and innocent and pure
I believed in the magic
I believed in you.

In a castle
Filled with lavish furnishings
A throne of my own
A kingdom to rule beside you.

Soul mates were a daydream away
Mine would take me by the hand
Lead me to a land
Free of the burdens of my future.

When I was a girl
I thought anything was possible
Then I grew up,
There is no castle.
