I wrote this after doing a research paper on eating disorders.
See that girl?
Such a pretty face
All the boys watch
As she struts down the lane
But do they know
The secrets that lay inside?
The ones her bathroom hides?

Voluptuous and intoxicating, her greatest temptation,
Such a sweet sin to commit,
But the guilt rips her small heart apart
God does not approve of sinners,
Who shall save her soul now?

Tall and thin, her faithful friend and confidant
The lifeless priest of her world,
Inside her, he rids her of her wickedness
Only he knows the color of her heart

Such a big heart, her friend has
The cleansing spirit of her life
Only she receives her sins,
In return of the touch of her hands on her cheeks
Only she washes them away

Little do those boys know,
That they walk above her sins,
Little do they know
That she is not what she seems

The toothbrush, her priest
The toilet, her cleansing spirit
Society, her one and only Lord,
The mirror, her enemy

The enemy that everyday
Taunts her with her own imperfections
The enemy that slowly kills her inside.
